From One Entrepreneur to Another:
When I started my business, I thought marketing was something I’d “get to when I had more money.” I figured if I just had a great product or solid service, word would spread. And yes, word of mouth is powerful—but it moves slow. And in today’s fast-paced, scroll-happy world, slow doesn’t pay the bills.
Marketing isn’t a side dish. It’s the entrée.
It’s how your audience finds you, connects with you, and begins to trust you. Whether you’re bootstrapping or have a big launch budget, the key is to understand that strategic visibility is everything.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
- Consistency over perfection: You don’t have to have the slickest ads or the most viral content. Just show up often and with value.
- Tell stories, not just facts: People buy feelings, not features. Let them feel your brand’s “why.”
- Don’t just market the product—market the transformation: Show people who they become by working with or buying from you.
Marketing isn’t optional. It’s survival. It’s growth. It’s how we, as small business owners, claim space in a loud marketplace. And trust me—it’s worth every effort.
